When was the last time you looked at your business website? I mean really looked at it.
Your website is essentially your online storefront. It provides 24/7 access to information about your business to potential customers and clients.
But because it is always working for you, it’s easy to get into “set it and forget it” mode.
Outdated information, broken links, and wonky images leave a poor impression. And, on top of that, those links to nowhere can hurt your search engine rankings.
Your business website may be the first representation of your business that people see, so it’s important that it be in tip-top shape. You want to leave a positive impression on prospects. One that makes them pick up the phone, fill out a contact form or stop by your business in person.
So take some this week to check website links, update information and photos and look at your website through a potential customer or client’s viewpoint.
Does it tell them what they need to know? Does it tell them what you want them to know? Make any changes and make it a habit to audit your website on a regular basis.
